I live in an area south of Sydney in Australia. There are many beaches and bushland areas to visit. Today I went for an 8km (5 mile) hike through Wyrrabalong National Park.
This small National Park is to the north of The Entrance which is 100km (60 miles) north of Sydney. It contains a number trails that can be walked individually or as a combination.
The Park contains a number of Australian native trees. Redgums and Banksia are the two main tree species.
There are a number of forest floor dwelling plants. There are palms, ferns, lichen covered fallen tree trunks and smaller varieties of wattle.
It's not an easy walk. There are lots of hills along the 8km of track i walked but also rewarding to get to see nature in it's unspoiled state so close to a built up residential area.
